Love All, Serve All

Every day when I wake up, I remember these words of Bhagwan Satya Sai Baba "Love All , Serve All". I have tried to use his quotes and speeches to convey my thoughts about 2 important aspects in life - "Positive Thoughts and Contentment". Every child is a born genius. Each of us have our own positives and negatives. Tuning ourselves to the correct frequency is what is going to drive us to success in life. Eventually, as we grow up, we start developing likings and dis likings towards multiple things around us. Most of us, in the mechanical life we lead today, in search of wealth and money, have forgotten the most simplest thing, we can give others - Love. The Love we show on someone today can multiply million times and spread across all living things.

Good thoughts always have the power to travel long. When someone can think and pray for the happiness of someone, it can multiply ten-fold and truly bring in a happy living to the other person. Similarly, when someone thinks bad or evil of another , it can multiply ten-fold and come back to us. So the basic equation of love can be expressed in simple Math as below

Positive thought = Positive thought * 10

Postulates of Positive Thoughts:
1. This can keep multiplying as it moves from person to person.
2. The power it carries with it keeps growing exponentially.
3. Once developed and realized, it can never return to the median or grow negative.
4. This power can eventually end up loving and serving even people doing evil to us.
5. From 1 and 4, the power of positive thought can get into the evil mind and transform that mind to think positive and spread the positive thought
6. As a conclusion , this theory can help achieve anything for Good.

Negative thought = Negative thought * 10

Postulates of Negative Thought:
1. This can multiply 10 times in the negative direction and impact only YOU
2. This doesn't reach out to anyone as it is lame and cannot travel away from YOUR mind
3. This will keep growing exponentially , eventually leading to the decay of the very few good thoughts in US.
4. Finally, as it stays only within us, it doesn't take us any closer to spreading love or happiness in this world.

Thoughts, in general travel from person to person. If we think ill of others, it will impact them for sure, but will impact us 10 times more than the other person. There must be harmony between one’s thoughts, words, and deeds. When there is unity
between these three, there will be purity. Where there is purity, there is Divinity. Whatever others do to you, consider it as good for you. See that you do not lose your humanness under any circumstances. In fact, humanness is your most valuable property.

Another aspect that needs to be spoken about, in today's world is that of contentment. We need food, clothing, shelter, and some money to purchase medicines if we were to fall sick. That is why it is said “O man! Never be over-ambitious, lead instead a noble life by making proper use of the intellect.” Happiness lies in contentment. Dissatisfaction will lead to misery. In order to experience peace, keep your desires under control.

Serve all with love. No amount of money can procure the bliss that you attain by serving others. Money comes and goes, but morality comes and grows. There have been many men of affluence in this land, but what happened to them ultimately? They had to leave the world empty-handed. No one can carry even a fistful of dust at the time of departing from the world. Otherwise, there would have been rationing even for dust in the country. When you leave the body, you carry with you only the good and bad that you have done in your life

Life is a challenge - Meet it! Life is a
game - Play it! Life is love - Enjoy it! Life is Awareness! The best way to love God is to love all, serve all.

Bambaram.in - A modern way to Multiple Intelligences

http://www.bambaram.in/ - Happened to read about this in yesterday's Hindu. Seemed to be a welcome idea for many parents who have kids in the age group of 3 to 12 years. This is more like a lending library for books, CDs, toys, all at one stop. We don't have to do anything except subscribing initially and choosing what we want. There is no restricted timeline for returning the toys or books or CDs and more than all , we don't have to undergo the ordeal of physically being present to choose the toy or the book. We can just choose it online and get it delivered at our doorstep every week!
This doesn't stop here. To imbibe a sense of responsibility in the kids, they have come up with a reward point scheme. If the toys are returned in the same condition in which they were delivered, the kids will get some reward points which after accumulation can be redeemed for a gift! Interesting way to get a sense of discipline and orderliness in kids! I liked it so much! More than all of this, we can give back our old toys to the Online Toy store that moves in the rural areas where the kids will be exposed to education through games.

Engeyum Kadhal - A delight to watch

After VTV, this movie was a visual delight for me. I enjoyed every frame from the beginning to the end. Nirav Shah's camera was awesome! Limited characters , wonderfully portrayed. Musical delight too! Harris' background score gelled well with the story, scenes and dance (Nenjil Nenjil picturisation could have been better though). The story-line was decent. May not seem logical in some parts, but to be true, the climax masked the logical flaws that one might observe. Ravi was awesome in the "dhimu dhimu" song. His expressions were truly killing. Not to leave out Hanshika, a neatly executed show by a new comer. Overall, it was a visual and musical delight watching the movie. Good show by the whole team.

Seeing ourself in other's eyes!

I have been waiting to blog on this topic for close to 3 years now. Every time, I try to do it, I write half way through it and stop for some reason; may be because , I wasn't confident enough of what I was trying to convey or I wasn't convinced if what I am trying to convey is going to make sense to at least one soul that reads it. But now , something in me is pushing me to write about this. Probably it is the impact of the movie we watched over the weekend that is driving me to write about "Seeing ourself in other's eyes!". Affection and Love are two brittle things that have to be handled with care. They cannot be mis-used or mistaken any time, for it deeply affects the person who is ready to shower it on us or who is actually showing it on us. Most of us don't know how to value the affection someone shows towards us. We would be longing for someone else to shower it on us , while we remain blind to some poor soul who is actually living for us. Some of us cannot understand the value of the feeling that someone has towards us. In fact, most of us dodge them away for some temporary problem of ours. We have to understand that "Life itself is temporary and we really cannot make decisions considering just the temporary near future in mind". We can derive happiness from a simple smile we see on the face of someone dear to our heart or a small note of thanks and gratitude showered on us from a small kid whom we helped cross the road. When love and affection can exist even in the smallest of the things we see in life, in the eyes of others whom we help , can we not reciprocate it to someone else ? When someone can make us happy and keep us smiling for 2 minutes in a day, can't we do the same to others ? Each and every one of us should sit and think, how does another person look at us. If they value us, our thoughts, lets try to respect that. We won't find many people who respect us and love our thoughts. We should try to live for those special souls and ensure we make them happy while we are happy as well. Let's start seeing ourselves in the eyes of others. How they value us and our relationship with them is what is going to keep both of us happy and give us a contended life.
