Many a times, when I try to do something, my mind directly goes in search of the "when" factor rather than the "what" factor associated with the activity under perusal. Basically, it is trained in a way to search for when the results would be seen. Seldom do I really understand the fact that what I am doing is primary and I should wait patiently to see when I can achieve it. Man in general can define the WHAT, but it is God/Supreme power(as seen by different individuals) who defines the WHEN. Faith - I will get what i want (This is needed for sure in many youngsters today). Faith isn't - I will get it when i want it. The question that comes to our mind should never be "Will I get it"; it should only be "By when will I get it"

Under-estimation of subtle things in life
If each of us try to ask ourselves the question below, we will definitely find some transformation in us.
How many times in a day/week/month do we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment , or the smallest act of caring ?
In reality, all of these have the potential to turn a life around. In fact most of us , even refuse to think, when someone talks to us with the true intention of care. It is more often looked upon as a intrusion of their privacy than as a feeling of care and affection. Many friends ripple away from each other or stay aloof for the simple reason of being bothered or cared by friends. It is easy to talk about and may be implement in reality the act of being away, but for an instance if we sit back and just think for a while about the people who talk to us with care and try to spend time on the content of their talk instead of ignoring them, may be who knows, it might become a life turner for us. Never make anyone feel neglected because of your acts. There is nothing dangerous and deadly compared to that.

The feeling of being Hurt!
If it hurts in any relationship(parent-child , husband-wife, brother-sister), then there is love in that relationship. If we give up love because it hurts, then our alternatives are only loneliness, despair and death. Love is just not laughter, it is tears too. This feeling of hurt and love can be easily be compared with a small pebble that disturbs the moon's reflection in a lake. Hurt are those ripples, with which, time tends to settle down to confirm that love was , love is and love will be alive forever. While love deepens with everything that is right, it refuses to diminish for anything that is wrong. Love eventually translates to everything in the world. Love is me, Love is you and Love is us. We can build a loving, lovable and lovely world!
Awakening!
Happened to read this article in "Frozen Thoughts". A gist from it is here.
"Maturity is in factoring the immaturity of others"
A very small story that explained a lot of things!
"A father had the habit of reading the newspaper at the end of everyday. On one of the evenings, his little daughter wanted him to play with her, while he still wanted to read the newspaper. He came up with an idea. In the last page of the newspaper , there was a half page advertisement of a courier company with the world map printed on it. He tore that portion of the paper into big enough pieces , scattered them all over the floor and told his daughter "This is your jigsaw puzzle. Get the map right and we shall play". In the next 5 minutes, while he was into his newspaper, the girl screamed "See appa! I did it". Looking at the stunned expression in her father's face, she added, "Appa, I know you are wondering, how I managed it so fast. As you were tearing the pieces , I noticed the picture of a man on the other side of the paper. Appa, i don't know where is Greenland, where is New Zealand, where is Burma etc.. but I know where the nose should be , where the forehead should be and where the chin must be. I got the man right and the world became right!"

Dont know what to call it!
Several times, it so happens that though my foreground process is busy doing the need of the hour, the background process is in a BLOCKED state, thinking of essentially only one thing. I am not even sure whether I should be worrying too much about it. Primarily , people who may hear about this, might consider me a lunatic! Infact , most of them who have heard this have indeed considered me so and moved away from me. Alas! what is stupid for the world is sensible and sensitive to me. This made me move away from my dear ones. Sometimes, in fact, i dont even share this with anyone. Drifting away from people may not even be a good idea. Who knows it can even have the power of driving me Mad! I am waiting to see what destiny has in place for me. May be my outlook towards certain things are different ? May be there is no one or rarely some folks who are like me??

Thought for the Day!
"We should all strive for unity. First and foremost, young people should come forward to help each other. We must consider all as our brothers and sisters. All are children of God. Therefore, we must live in unity without giving room for any differences. The end of education is character. If our character is good, then we can achieve anything in life. We may think we have won gold medals, acquired high degrees and achieved name and fame. But if we lack character, these degrees are merely pieces of paper. Therefore, it is most essential to safeguard our character which alone will make us truly learned" - Courtesy Heart2Heart Team

Thirukural!
Starting today, I am planning to put down simple yet thought provoking Thirukurals here.
To get started, the best one that comes to my mind first is this,
யாகாவார் ஆயினும் நாகாக்க காவாக்கால்
சோகாப்பர் சொல்லிழுக்குப் பட்டு

Today's Inspiration!
"When the tiny little ego assumes enormous importance, it causes many problems! That is the root of all your travails and miseries."
This is a sentence TRUE in every aspect of itself. I think most of us spend a considerable amount of our time in life questioning about this EGO and literally demonstrating it. This small little thing can create monsters in terms of problems in relationships. Let me not blog more about this. People should read and absorb the essence of this sentence and realize it!

Plethora of Thoughts!
Most of us , at some point of time in our life so far would have definitely faced something that would have made us feel bad or ignored or would have potentially brought us down. It could be as simple a reason as unable to buy something you liked so much or something huge like the loss of a very near and dear person in life. A very distressful feeling comes into your mind and occupies your heart till time plays its own magical role in bringing out the realization of that loss. Ok, now getting onto relating loss to pain, pain can be physical or emotional. Physical pain is very evident and can be eventually cured. Emotional Pain is something that can take a while to go off your mind. Sometimes, it may seem realistic, while at other times it may sound stupid. I like this Thirukural for several reasons in the same context.
"Yaakaavar aayinum naakaaka kaavakaal,
Soggapar sol izhukkupattu"
What a wonderful and truthful thought from Thiruvalluvar! How many of us really go back and look at what we did on a particualr day ? How many of us realize, we are hurting someone knowingly or unknowingly ? How many of us really care to correct ourselves? The most common answer I get in most instances is a very simple one. Why should we even bother about any of the above questions if we understand that this not a botheration for the others ? People, one simple thing to realize for a happy living is self -realization. We should come out of the FOLLOW mindset and try to transform ourselves to the LEAD mindset. It is very easy to follow, while it is very very difficult to lead by example. Simple lesson is "Standing out in a crowd for a good reason is what makes someone successful!"
