Majestic Vellore Fort!

Several scorching hot days and decently cold nights were witnessed by this wonderful city. Standing tall in the middle of this amazing city is the famous Fort that houses a lot of government offices,a moat and the most beautiful Jalagandeshwara temple. The Majestic temple resembled a handsome man from outside, but the interiors were definitely worth comparison to the finesse of the most beautiful woman. Just the first glance of it attracted me so much and with a plethora of expectations I walked in not to be deceived.

The main deity in the temple is Shiva in the name of  Jalagandeshwara  ( gets his name as the temple where he resides is surrounded by water on all sides) accompanied by Akilandeswari thaayar. The sharp features of the deities residing in the temple were truly a delight to the sight. The temple premises was decently huge and was maintained extremely neat. Just as you walk outside the central premise, you are welcomed by another huge temple hall that hosts a huge number of pillars with indescribably fine and neat sculptures. Each of them spoke for their fineness and the sculptors stood tall in front of me. How talented and gifted they should have been to imagine these and actually make them!
